§ 10-34. Dogs in public places.

  • No dogs, except Seeing Eye dogs, shall be allowed in city parks; in public buildings, such as, but not limited to, railroad stations, hotels, restaurants, theaters, grocery stores; or on school grounds, buses, or other public places or retail establishments. This section shall not apply to dogs located within privately owned retail establishments or businesses when such dog belongs to the owner or employee of such establishment when such dog is present with the permission of the owner. Any dog maintained or kept in accordance with the exception defined in the previous sentence shall be kept in a secure environment and in such a manner as to pose no threat of harm to any person entering or patronizing such establishment.
