§ 55. Codification of ordinances.

  • The city commission shall have the power to have the city ordinances revised and codified; and when revised and codified ordinances shall have been approved by the affirmative vote of a majority of the commission, and shall have been published in a book form, either looseleaf or permanently bound, the said code with such additions or changes as may from time to time be made thereto, shall constitute the laws and ordinances of the city and shall be of full force and effect until repealed. Such codification and revision may be adopted as provided by the general laws of the state.
